Penarth's Griffin Books has been shortlisted in the region of Wales for Independent Bookshop of the Year 2025 at the British Books Awards. The shop, which won the overall award in 2023, has been shortlisted in Wales alongside four other Welsh bookshops and sixty seven other indies nationwide.
Owner Mel Griffin said "We are delighted to be nominated as a Regional and Country Finalist in Wales! It is always gratifying to be recognised by our industry, and it’s brilliant to be shortlisted alongside so many great bookshops that we consider to be stalwarts of the indie bookshop community."
The regional winners will be announced mid-March and the overall winner of the award in May.
